Inn and restaurant/pub in Alert Bay. The Orca Inn offers two rental suites and one hotel room, as well as a self-contained 3 bedroom manager’s suite, a restaurant and a separate pub. The Inn enjoys unobstructed ocean views over Broughton Strait and across to the shores of Vancouver Island with the mountains in the distance. The manager’s suite and 3 rental units are all upstairs, with the restaurant and commercial kitchen below. The commercial kitchen is well maintained and well equipped with propane appliances. It used to be a buffet Chinese restaurant and a 3 large wok cooking unit, 2 steam tables and salad bar units are still on site. A retail space at the end of the building used to operate as a cold beer and wine store, it has a bank of back-loading coolers, as well as a service counter and some other equipment. Above the retail space is the pub, currently licensed for 35 seats. It features an area for live music and is the only pub operating in Alert Bay at this time.
